Following the successful launch of the Alliss Broadcasters Cup (the ABC) last year at Foxhills GC the Alliss family is excited to be planning this year’s event and looking forward to welcoming old and new friends this September. The ABC celebrates the legacy of Peter Alliss, ‘The voice of Golf’, by combining his passion for raising money for children with disability and the world of golf, sports and broadcast.
Our mission, as always is to create meaningful and positive change through chairs for children with disability and their families in need of support. With your continued help we can raise vital funds and provide wheelchairs and freedom to families across the country.
We are delighted that this year we will be hosting the ABC at Sunningdale Golf Club, a special venue, very close to Peter’s heart and certainly one of the finest courses in the country. The support we have had has been overwhelming and we look forward to another incredible day, full of fun and joined by friends and stars from the worlds of sports and broadcast at a truly iconic venue.
Last years Rollers captained by Dame Laura Davis pipped Andrew Cotter’s Bentleys to win the trophy. We’re delighted to welcome back Dame Laura to captain the Rollers once more and she will take on Sir AP McCoy as captain of the Bentleys. Sadly Andrew Cotter has had to step aside due to having a BBC commentary engagement.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
24 teams of 3 golfers will join our Broadcasting Celebrities to compete as either a Bentley or a Roller – a homage to Peter’s love of both cars and his famous PUT 3 registration.
Your allocated celebrity and team will be chosen by the organising committee.
The event will be a Ryder Cup style, 4 Ball Better Ball Matchplay Competition with the Team winning the most points being presented with our iconic Alliss Broadcasters Trophy.
ON THE DAY
We will be presenting wheelchairs to the children on the day and you can be involved as a sponsor or partner
and hand over a personalised chair as part of this ceremony. Please ask for more information on these important opportunities
Team uniforms, goody bags and prizes will be available on the day . All guests will have breakfast and lunch at Sunningdale Golf Club and there will be a short auction during lunch to raise more funds for The Alliss Foundation.
